GES-2
The former power station on Bolotnaya Embankment — the 2019–2021 rebuild, Fischer’s clay, the vault, and 2026 stills including the canal footbridge.
GES-2 stands on Bolotnaya Embankment, next to the House on the Embankment — not the square, the neighbouring canal bank.
A city power station of 1904–1907 (engineer Mikhail Polivanov, facade by Vasily Bashkirov). Rebuilt from 2015 by Renzo Piano Building Workshop; on 4 December 2021 it opened as the GES-2 House of Culture (V-A-C Foundation). The blue stacks are the tell.
In August 2021 Urs Fischer’s aluminium Big Clay No. 4 was assembled on the quay.
Phone stills, 2019–2026. Not every frame from the albums: the rebuild, the clay, the vault, the canal. The hall with visitors from behind is not in the set.
In 2026 a footbridge is going into the canal bed from GES-2 under Maly Kamenny to Repin Garden. It is not the 2024 Balchug bridge.
