Repair and scaffolding 2026

Since 2 June 2026 the Bolotnaya Online cameras have been off. Scaffolding stands on the Serafimovicha facade: mesh covers the frame the cameras were for — the square, the canal, the Kotelnicheskaya high-rise.

While there is no live stream, that is the story. Below is the “Serafimovicha repair” album, June through 18 August: scaffold, old paint coming off, new whitewash, two clips shot on a phone. There are no old-stream screenshots in this set; if they turn up, they go in a separate “before” block.

What the weeks show

Early June. Scaffolding is already up. On 13 June the square is visible from the camera spot only through the mesh — that is why the streams are offline, not some abstract “maintenance”.

July. Old paint is stripped, a hoist hangs on the facade. On 19 July a crane sits by neighbouring works; there is a short clip from the road. By the end of the month the building is fully netted from the square.

August. On the 8th a giant hard hat for the 70th Builder’s Day floats on the canal — accidental, and on-theme. By the 15th a new white facade is up, windows still in film. On the 18th part of the wall is already grey, people work from a cradle; shot on a phone, no tripod.

The section is temporary. When the scaffolding comes down and the stream can return without a hole in the frame, the page stays as an archive. The project has no official deadline; camera pages currently say “autumn”, if the works allow.
